Events
Trips, outings, service projects, and special events are some of the BEST times to start connecting or to go deeper in connecting with our ministry.
**Special Events require advanced online registration**
Legacy Night - May 16
Legacy Night is an evening to reflect on God’s work in Student Ministries at The Orchard. Middle school and high school students, along with their parents, are invited to the Barrington campus on May 16th from 7-9pm. As another year comes to a close, we want to honor and thank our graduating 8th graders and seniors for the legacies they will leave, and encourage those who will be returning next year. The night will feature worship, testimony, prayer, and a message from Pastor Colin. We will end with time for fellowship over pizza!

Senior Farewell - June 10
We will be honoring our seniors with a special night of fellowship from 6:30-8:30. Stay for dessert afterwards!
ICI - June 17-23
Inner City Impact is an organization downtown Chicago whose mission is “to present the living Christ, primarily to unchurched inner city children and youth, discipling and integrating them into a local church.” During this week in the summer, high school students head to Chicago to serve ICI and the students they are reaching out to. By teaching, leading activities, and spending time with Chicago’s children, our students have a chance to share the love of Christ and be challenged in a mission field close to home. Spring Hill Day Camp - June 25-29
Spring Hill is well-known as one of the best Christian Camps in the country. This summer Spring Hill is bringing summer camp to the Orchard! For a week in June our high school students will be able to volunteer as counselors alongside the Spring Hill staff to lead elementary school students in exciting activities and Bible study each day. This is a great way for students to serve, be trained in leadership, and have a ton of fun. Download and application here.
Challenge - June 30-July 7
Registration is full. Contact Laura Decker to be put on the waiting list.
Challenge is the EFCA’s national youth conference being held this year in New Orleans. For one week, students in middle school and high school will be able to come together with thousands of teens from around the country to hear God’s word, worship, and serve. Students will attend all-conference sessions for teaching and worship in the morning and evening, while spending a few hours each day serving the local community. With speakers including Francis Chan, Craig Gross, and Eric Mason, and worship lead by Kristian Stanfill, this is bound to be a powerful week for those who attend. Register online from March 1-April 30 with an early bird discount through April 11.
Hungary Mission Trip - July 13-28
Each year a small number of our high school upperclassmen have the opportunity to travel to Hungary for a short-term missions trip. The student team partners with Kelenfold Ministry Center in Budapest to assist with the summer camp program for upper elementary through high school students. Each day, our students teach English classes, lead games and activities for campers, and seek to build cross-cultural friendships with Hungarian teens. This trip is a phenomenal opportunity for students to impact the spiritual lives of others while being challenged and strengthened in their own faith as well.
