While we would like to see everyone involved in a LIFE Group, we recognize that people are looking for other learning opportunities as well. Listed below are both Sunday morning and mid-week options. Contact Marilyn Coe, 847.852.2206, with questions.

LIFE Connections

9 & 10:45 am – Room 205
LIFE Connections meets on Sunday mornings to discuss the sermon. (The 9 am group discusses the sermon from the previous week.) LIFE Connections provides a “taste” of a LIFE Groups, with several groups meeting in the same room at the same time. LIFE Connections is a great way to get connected to others in the church – whether you are new or have been around for years. Groups are available for men, women, couples, and mixed ages and genders.

John Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion

Sundays, 10:45 am - Room 301
Most Christians know the terms "Calvinist" and "Arminian" quite well, but few of us know much about John Calvin or Jacob Arminius, nor about what they actually said and taught. John Calvin in particular is one of the great gifts to the Church, and his greatest work, the Institutes of the Christian Religion, has far transcended his own time and place. In this class, we will spend the year reading (outside of class) and discussing the Institutes, both learning about what Calvin himself actually believed, thus grounding us more deeply in the history of the Church, and strengthening our own "knowledge of God and knowledge of self" and enlivening our faith and obedience to our Lord. For more information (including the cost of the book) or to sign up, contact Geoff Fulkerson.

Freed Up Financial Living

Sundays, 9 AM – Room 301
The goal of this seven-week course is to become grounded in a biblical understanding of a proper relationship to money and possessions, and to commit to and begin developing a biblically-based Spending Plan. In addition, you will have the opportunity to formulate financial goals and plans to meet them. By the end of the course, you will have the first draft of a usable Spending Plan in your hand, the knowledge in your head to implement it, and a commitment in your heart to follow through on it. Contact Peter Lehner, 847.590.1089, if you have questions or to sign up.
