Our Mission:
The Financial Ministry exists to support the mission of The Orchard by equipping attendees with the knowledge to become biblical stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to them. The mission is to facilitate the spiritual growth in Biblical principles regardless of their current financial situation, habits, or age (poor or wealthy; spendthrift or disciplined; students to retirees).
How do I get help with my finances?
We encourage everyone to attend one of the seminars or classes that the Financial Ministry puts on throughout the year. These will give you the Biblical insight and practical knowledge to become a steward of the resources that God has given you. For those who complete a course, individual, confidential coaching is available as an extra resource.
If you are in need of immediate assistance, please contact your campus pastor. Individual coaching may be available in certain situations.
Please note that the Financial Ministry’s coaches are trained in Biblical stewardship management, specifically focusing on expense tracking, spending plan set-up and debt reduction. We will not endorse or recommend any specific financial advice or product. If you need professional advice or services, please seek a certified financial planner.
What are the courses?
The Freed-Up Financial Living course is currently offered at the Arlington Heights and Barrington Campuses. This is a seven week course designed to give you insights into what God’s word says about our finances, as well as practical application in your daily finances. Sessions will cover earning, giving, saving, debt reduction, spending, and planning for the future. Cost is $20 per workbook and the course began on Sunday, February 12 and meets during the second service. Contact Peter Lehner for more information.
LIFE Groups
The Financial Ministry has several different curriculums available that would work well in a LIFE group setting. You can either facilitate the discussion yourself, or we are able to provide someone to assist in leading the study.
