This small but powerful 31-day devotional book is full of encouraging reminders of God’s sovereignty and goodness. Day by day, Jerry Bridges takes the reader to Scripture, where he reminds us of the firm foundation we stand upon; biblical doctrine that culminates in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In each of these daily writings, the author reminds us why we can and should trust God regardless of what is happening in our lives or in the world around us. Using questions and concerns that we all grapple with from time to time, particularly in a season of grief and adversity, Bridges refreshes readers by bringing us back to the very nature of God; His goodness, love, and faithfulness.

31 Days Toward Trusting GodThe question thus becomes, not is God worthy of our trust, but will we choose to trust the sovereign, holy God who is altogether worthy? Regardless of our circumstances, will we look to the cross, where God demonstrated His eternal love for us through Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension?

In spite of the darkness that so often tempts us to question God’s care for us, this little book will encourage all who read it to press on, give thanks, and walk by faith. Not only will I pick this book up again and again, but it will also be one of the first books I give to others when they are facing a season of adversity.  I highly recommend this book for every believer who desires refreshment for their soul.
