Phil's Friends Cards of Hope
For our September Neighbor Here, Neighbor There Project, we will be working with Phil’s Friends. Phil's Friends provides encouragement through the distribution of hand assembled care packages to those affected by cancer and their families and consistent ongoing support through cards of hope and prayer. Further, they partner with local hospitals to visit, encourage, and pray for those going through cancer treatments.
During the month of September, we will work with Phil's Friends' Cards of Hope program by decorating cards for those affected by cancer. Individuals and families can pick up card templates and instruction sheets at the reception desk. Take the cards home to decorate them, write a special message and return them by September 30 or spend some time before or after the service September 21 or 22 to write your cards.
Feel free to get creative! Children can decorate cards for other children their age or families can can decorate cards together. Make it colorful, add a short message, and a Bible verse. The instruction sheet also includes phrases that should not be said.
We will also spend time during September praying for the ministry of Phil's Friends. As individuals and families are decorating cards, we encourage you to pray for the individuals who will receive the cards.
