Club in the Park
July 8-12, Prospect Heights, IL
At this week-long service project located in a densely populated. Spanish-speaking neighborhood in Prospect Heights, middle school students help put on an afternoon Vacation Bible School program for neighborhood children in a public park. It’s an incredible cross-cultural service opportunity and promises to stretch all those who participate. There will be two required team training meetings in the weeks before the club. Club in the Park happens from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bring you lunch. If interested, please complete this application and return it to your Student Ministries Pastor by Sunday, April 28 to be considered for the team.
Club in the Park Application
July 14-19, St. Louis, MO
This summer, middle school students will participate in a mission trip known as BUMP (Bridging Urban Ministry Project), serving in St. Louis, Missouri from July 14-19, 2013. They will partner with Group “Week of Hope”, a Christian organization that works with local churches, service agencies and homeowners helping with projects in their homes, assisting the elderly, tutoring struggling students, serving at a food bank, helping with a backyard Bible club and more. It’s a time to be flexible and serve others. Each day students will hear a message from scripture that encourages them to put faith in Jesus Christ into action. They will experience the love and joy that come from serving Jesus by serving others.
