Take your first step at
The Orchard by choosing
the congregation near you.

I'm New

Church can be an intimidating place, so here’s helpful information to hopefully ease your nerves.

What to Expect

Each Sunday experience feels unique to the community you’re visiting! At our Marengo location, for example, you’ll find the casual, small-town feel you’d expect in McHenry County, while Arlington Heights congregation, our largest, offers a choir and orchestra in addition to a contemporary worship band.

You’ll experience preaching with a mix of in person and video preaching. Our senior pastor, Colin Smith, preaches in person and via video (the only preacher you’ll hear on video) part of the year. Other pastors from the church will preach in person the rest of the year. Some services are traditional and some are contemporary.

Wear what you feel most comfortable in! You’ll see others in everything from jeans and T-shirts to suits and ties.

We’ve got some pretty amazing activities and curriculum for children and students that are led by our fun, committed and screened volunteers and staff.

LIFE Groups are meeting continually throughout the week and most congregations offer mid-week programs for children and students.

What are my next steps?

When you arrive for church, stop by the Welcome Center. We’d love to meet and give you a small gift. If you have kids and would like to take them to Orchard Kids or Student Ministries, we’ll show you where and how to check them in.
After your visit, take your next step:
