What to Expect

In Person

Each weekend experience feels unique to the community you’re visiting! At our Marengo location, for example, you’ll find the casual, small-town feel you’d expect in McHenry County, while the Arlington Heights congregation, our largest, offers a choir and orchestra in addition to a contemporary worship band.

Online

If you're joining us online, expect to be greeted by a friendly host and joined by many others who are worshiping from a distance just like you.

Check us out here Sundays, 10 a.m. for a meaningful experience of musical worship, prayer, and teaching from the Bible. Feel free to engage with the online hosts or other attenders through the chat feature. You can also watch anytime here. Learn more about The Orchard Online here and gain further online resources here

You’ll experience preaching with a mix of in person and video preaching. Our senior pastor, Colin Smith, preaches in person and via video (the only preacher you’ll hear on video) part of the year. Other pastors from the church will preach in person the rest of the year. Some services are traditional and some are contemporary.

Wear what you feel most comfortable in! You’ll see others in everything from jeans and T-shirts to suits and ties.

We’ve got some pretty amazing activities and curriculum for children and students that are led by our fun, committed and screened volunteers and staff.

LIFE Groups are meeting continually throughout the week and most congregations offer mid-week programs for children and students.

What are my next steps?

Connection Card

Whether you're joining us in person or online, the connection card is the best way to get connected. When you complete it, feel free to communicate questions and prayer requests with our staff.

LIFE Groups

If you want to connect further, join a LIFE Group. LIFE Groups provide an opportunity to study the Bible, develop deep relationships, and grow with a small group of people. LIFE Groups meet regularly in various locations and forms, including on Zoom. Explore options here
