Vernon Hills | Kids

We are passionate about shaping the lives of children as they grow and flourish in their understanding of who God is and what He’s doing in the world!

We have created a safe and caring environment – every volunteer goes through a screening/background check process and our secure children’s area is limited to children, their families and our volunteers.

Kids spend time in Bible lessons, sing worship songs, do crafts and play games!

When We Meet

Sundays, 9 and 10:30 a.m.

  • Nursery: Infants to 2-year-olds
  • Early Childhood: 3-year-olds to 6-year-olds

Online Resources

We are using the Gospel Project's online curriculum to allow children to grow in their understanding of the Bible at home throughout the week. You can find those resources here (scroll to the bottom under Kids Resources).

Security

All children are required to check in at the Orchard Kids Welcome Desk with a screened volunteer, must wear a nametag, must be picked up by the same adult that dropped them off, and the adult must match the information we have on file at check-in. All of our volunteers are background-checked, screened and trained.

FAQs

There are always at least two screened ministry volunteers present in each classroom to ensure the safety and security of your children.

If your child has a severe food allergy, please note that when you sign in, and talk to an Orchard Kids volunteer so we are aware of the specific allergy and its severity. Additionally, we try to stay away from common food allergies with our snacks, such as nuts.

Due to Covid-19, we will not be offering any snacks in classrooms. If your child has a condition that requires a water bottle or snack, please let their teacher know.

Yes! Child dedication is an acknowledgment by parents that they have been entrusted with their child by God. It is also a commitment to teach, train and model godliness for your child—a pledge you are asked to take publicly, before God and our church family.

Please fill out a child dedication request form if you’re interested in dedicating your child and our staff will be in touch with you about the next child dedication dates and meetings.
